The Local manages email lists for each bargaining unit which are member only. The members lists' are for communication of official union business (meeting and referenda notices, events and news pertaining to the local). There is also an email list open to all SFU community members called cupe-forum. Forum is an unmoderated email list for discussion between cupe members and others in the sfu community.

It is your responsibility to have yourself added to the members only unit mail list. Please send an email request to cupe@sfu.ca to subscribe.

To join the cupe-forum emailist follow the instructions below:

1. Go to sfu.ca (or click here and skip to step 4)
2. Click "online services"
3. Click "manage your sfu computing account"
4. Log in using your sfu computing id
5. Click "manage mail lists"
6. Click search for "mail lists"
7. Type in "cupe"
8. cupe3338-forum is on the second page
9. Click on "subscribe" and you're done.

Remember, official union message will only come from
local3338-members@members.cupe.ca (the members only mail list).
