SFU Community Coalition public forum: What Makes SFU #1?
Dear Fellow Members,

The SFU Community Coalition is hosting a series of public forums focusing on
the question: What Makes SFU #1?

What do staff, students, faculty and other members of the SFU Community
think about SFU as an Employer, as a Comprehensive University and as a
Community.

Our first forum will focus on SFU as Employer.

This Fall, Maclean's Magazine announced that SFU is one of Canada's top
100 Employer's for 2010. Maclean's evaluated the University using eight
criteria: physical workplace, work atmosphere & communications, financial
benefits & compensation, health & family-friendly benefits, vacation &
personal time-off, employee engagement, training & skills development, and
community involvement.  And SFU received an A average from Maclean's.

So, What Makes SFU #1 as an Employer?

Date: Wednesday, Jan. 13th
Place: AQ 3159 Burnaby Campus
Time: 11:30am to 12:30pm

Guest speakers for the first forum will be Karen Dean, Grievance Officer
for TSSU and John Bannister, Business Agent for CUPE 3338, with moderator
Soizic Wadge, TSSU Coordinator.
